Currently training with his coach and his other coach, Medvedev has gradually improved in the recent weeks - culminating in a hard-fought competitive win over opponent Moutet.

However the player has implemented adjustments in the past month, making an effort to approach the net and play aggressively, backed up by an improved service.
The champion came back from a deficit in the initial set against the challenging Moutet, taking 4 of the final five points to gain the advantage.

The opponent saved four early opportunities in a competitive third set before the champion secured a break to fifteen to serve for the match.
Appropriately, the winner earned the title with a rally at the front of the court, with Moutet incapable to control a shot after two hours and 38 minutes.
