Large-scale Moscow's Assaults Disrupt Power Across Kyiv

Power facilities under attack in the region
The country's energy systems have come under increased strikes in the past few days

Throughout the evening, Moscow's missile and drone strikes have led to blackouts in multiple districts of the capital city, Kyiv.

A number of civilians were injured while residents in eastern neighborhoods were left without electricity and faced problems to water systems, per reports from municipal leaders.

Meanwhile, a minor was killed in a separate Russian drone strike in the Zaporizhzhia area in the southern area, as reported by local officials.

Moscow has intensified assaults on power infrastructure over the last fortnight, while Ukrainian leadership has demanded "concrete actions" from international partners to apply pressure on Moscow.

"What is required is not window dressing but strong steps - from the America, Europe and the Group of Seven - in supplying air defence systems and implementing sanctions," was stated in a social media post.

Authorities reported that numerous aerial vehicles and several dozen projectiles attacked energy facilities, describing such strikes as "premeditated" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as temperatures become colder.

The energy minister said Moscow was "conducting extensive attacks" and maintenance teams were striving to fix the damage.

A series of attacks struck energy infrastructure and apartment buildings in Kyiv.

Five out of the nine people injured in the attacks on the city have been taken to hospital, as confirmed by city authorities.

Area administrators said the city experienced significant strikes throughout the evening. A young boy was killed and several individuals were wounded.

The strikes come after periods of aerial attacks in the region, portions of which are occupied by invading troops.

The whole nation is under warning for hypersonic Kinzhal missile strikes, which are more difficult to spot.

National leaders told reporters that Russia was intentionally trying to destroy the country's energy grid, with strikes already impacting fuel infrastructure.

He said technical personnel and officials were preparing for further attacks.
